I'm Thys Sutherland, a passionate photographer based in the Western Cape.

Photography started as a passion for capturing the things I find beautiful, interesting and worth remembering. Over time, that passion has grown into something much more meaningful—a way of telling stories and preserving moments that might otherwise disappear with time.

I enjoy many different forms of photography, from landscapes, long exposures and monochrome images to portraits, family photography and the energy of sport. What I enjoy most is the challenge of seeing a moment differently and finding the image within it.

Living in the Western Cape gives me endless inspiration. The landscapes, changing light, people and everyday moments all offer something worth capturing.

My favorite photographs are the ones that make you stop for a moment. The ones that bring back a memory, make you feel something, or show you a familiar place or person in a completely different way.
